Destiny 2 Weekly Reset: New Activities, Challenges, and Rewards
Updated September 5, 2025: Another week has come for Destiny 2, which means missions, challenges, and rewards have been reset. There has been a ton of back and forth between Bungie and its community lately after the studio announced some upcoming changes to the Destiny 2 Portal, many of which didn't sit right with players. One of the big sticking points was a nerf to the powerful rewards players would earn from Solo Ops, a widely used playlist for enhancing one's power quickly.
Backlash was swift against the announced plans for the Ash & Iron update. Player feedback was so loud that Bungie quickly changed course, announcing that it was changing its plans and wouldn't follow through on its planned nerfs and some other changes. Part of Bungie's planned enhancements to Portal have already gone live with a recent Destiny 2 update, adding a much needed increase to the time limits for matchmade Fireteam Ops activities.

Before we move to the Destiny schedule topic, let us tell you when to expect the Weekly Reset to delve into featured activities. The Destiny 2 Weekly Reset happens every Tuesday at 10am PDT / 1pm EDT / 6pm BST / 7pm CEST.

Destiny 2: Raids and Dungeons Rotation this Week
🚨 Rotation changes
With Update 8.1.0, Bungie changed the Raid and Dungeons rotation. There are now two featured Raids and two featured Dungeons each week:
Warlord’s Ruin will enter the rotator queue, so there will be eight raids and eight dungeons in total. So, it’s fitting then that we double the number of featured rotator activities available every week. This way, the max time that can pass between a specific raid or dungeon will be four weeks.

But wait, it gets even better. The weekly raid and dungeon are fully farmable:
Oh, wait, you said you liked farming? We got you there too with the new rotator system. All lockouts on encounter rewards for Legendary gear are being removed, which means all Legendary drops in both raids and dungeons will be 100-percent farmable if you so choose.

Also, the featured raid and dungeon will also reward players with Pinnacle gear:
For the weekly rotation, completing the final encounter in any of the chosen raids or dungeons will award a Pinnacle drop from a Weekly Challenge.

Destiny 2 epic conclusion to the Light and Darkness Saga. the weekly grind continues with the likes of the Exotic Mission Rotator, Trials of Osiris and Xur offerings, with the each having unique rewards up for the grabs.
Episode Heresy continues to the traditions of having other raids and dungeons each week, but there are two of this each, giving you more choice over what to farm. There are Vesper host in rotation following the launch of Sundered Doctorine.
The dungeon and raids are featured to plan your grind properly. If you overlook rotation that has something you want to farm, this wont be featured again for several weeks. There are the featured raids and dungeons for this week.

The week featured Dungeons are Spire of the Watcher and Pit of Hersey which will remain featured until May 20.
