Pokémon GO brings 2 powerful attackers in the next Rocket event
The next big event with Team Rocket in Pokémon GO is approaching. What will this Rocket takeover bring this time?
When does the event take place? The event will take place on August 11th. As always, it starts at 00:00. It ends on August 17th at 23:59.
What bonuses does the event bring? As usual, the takeover is all about Team GO Rocket. Accordingly, the bonuses are as follows:
- You will encounter many more Rocket grunts at stops and in balloons.
- Your Shadow Pokémon can forget the move “Frustration” using TMs without having to purify them. This makes them the best attackers in the game.
- Also, Shiny-Molunk will make its debut in the game.
- And a new special research revolving around Giovanni will start.
Additionally, many new Shadow Pokémon will also appear in the game.
What new Pokémon will the Rocket event bring?
The highlights: The latest Shadow Pokémon is Giratina. This one is held by Giovanni and must be freed by you. As usual, you need the Super Rocket Radar, which you can get from the special research.

Shadow Dialga is coming to Pokémon GO with the next Team Rocket Takeover event
Shadow Dialga is the next Pokémon Trainers can save from Giovanni when the next Team Rocket Takeover event gets under way in the middle of May. The event, like always, introduces a handful of new Shadow Pokémon as well as allows you to get rid of Frustration from Shadow Pokémon's movesets.
You'll get a brand new Research quest, that will lead to a battle with Giovanni. This is how you will have the chance to capture Shadow Dialga, which looks set to be a very useful Pokémon.

The highlight of any Team Rocket takeover event in Pokémon GO is the chance to encounter a novel Shadow Legendary Pokémon by beating Giovanni. After the introduction of Shadow Palkia, we are now getting Shadow Dialga. This will be a great addition to your collection, with Dialga existence a good Raid Attacker and also good for Master League PvP as well.

Pokémon Go 'Delightful Days Taken Over' event guide
Pokémon Go’s latest Team Go Rocket takeover has arrived with "Delightful Days: Taken Over," an event that runs from Aug. 11-17. This event features everything that Team Go Rocket events usually do, including a new set of Special Research that will reward you with shadow Giratina.
The event also has Team Go Rocket balloons and members appearing more often, as well as the ability to replace the charged move Frustration from shadow Pokémon, if you use a Charged TM. Shadow Pokémon caught from one- and three-star raids will also "have a wider variance of Attack, Defense, and HP," according to Niantic.
Note that this event is slightly stacked on top of the "Cozy Companions" event that's running until Aug. 12, so while there's technically no boosted spawns for Team Go Rocket takeover, there are still two days worth of lingering perks from "Cozy Companions" happening simultaneously.
