After you’ve entered your tracking number into Track, the results page will show you the most current information available about the location and status of your delivery.
Here are some common tracking statuses and what they mean.
“In transit” means we’ve received the package and it’s en route to its destination.
“Out for delivery” means your package is on its way to its final destination. Details about your package’s progress are shown in the delivery progress section below the blue bar.
“Notice left” means a package couldn’t be delivered as expected, and has been sent to a post office for pickup.
This could happen for one of many reasons, including:
- The package won't fit in the mail compartment
- The community mailbox is full
- No one was available to receive the package, but the sender hasn't approved a safe drop location
- No one is available to receive the package and there’s no protected, secure location in which to leave it
- The sender has chosen the "Card for pickup" option meaning the package must be picked up at a post office
- The package was addressed to a Post Office Box, but w

06-21-2024, 09:47 AM (This post was last modified: 06-21-2024, 09:49 AM by RockmartDawg.)We ordered something online, and it turns out it is being delivered by way of FedEx. We were given a tracking number, and in using that we saw that the package status was "On FedEx vehicle for delivery" early on Tuesday morning and they gave an estimated time by which it should be delivered. The package did not land on Tuesday. The next evening the website showed it again on the truck for delivery on Wednesday. Knowing that it was a holiday, I figured that may or may not be correct and just assumed it wasn't coming, and it did not arrive. Same thing yesterday/Thursday. Very early that morning it was on the truck for delivery, but then sdelayed in the afternoon (almost 6:00 pm) the status changed to "Operational Delay - No strive made, delivery scheduled for the next business day".

Sump'n wrong, here. Three days in a row it was supposedly on the truck for delivery but has yet to be delivered. I know there has been a lot in the news about USPS delays. I haven't heard of anything going on with FedEx, though.
USPS Tracking Statuses List
Here’s a (mostly) complete list of all USPS tracking status meanings we’ve come across. Let us know if we missed any!

Available for Pickup Statuses
USPS uses a variety of statuses to let you know when your package is available for pickup, usually at your local post office.
Tip: Use automatic notifications to let customers (or yourself) know when shipments are available for pickup
Reminder to pick up your item
First seen around June 2025, this seems to be a variant of the ‘reminder to pick up your item before…’ message. We’re unsure why USPS dropped the time-sensitive ending. Here’s an example:
Reminder To Pick Up Your Item Before
This status is a reminder for the recipient to collect their package before a specified deadline. If the package is not picked up by the deadline, it may be returned to the sender or treated as unclaimed.
Held At Post Office
The package is being held at the local post office. This may occur for various reasons, such as the recipient not being available to sign for the package or a problem with the delivery address. The recipient will need to visit the post offi

I'm home all day, the package doesn't require a signature, my office faces my driveway, my dog barks when anyone comes up the lane, and sometimes there are three or more people here too. They lie. Never had this happen with UPS or USPS, just FedEx.TD SponsorTD Fan
