There is always something exciting going on around the Old Orchard Beach, Maine area! You can enjoy it all on our 7 mile stretch of powdery, pristine white sand that meanders through five communities; Pine Point, Old Orchard, Ocean Park, Ferry Beach, and ending in Camp Ellis. Besides the activities you can enjoy on Old Orchard beach, it also hosts a number of annual events, including a family sand sculpture competition, a s'mores and more bonfire, beach olympics, beach raid, annual lobster dip and so much more. Other community events are annual events that everyone looks forward to like the annual festivals, car shows, parades, Fourth of July festivities, art shows, numerous 5ks, concerts in the park, live entertainment in local clubs and pubs, and fireworks every Thursday night. 10K on the beach from the Pier to Pine Point, back on East Grand Avenue and ending at the Square.
Beach party with bonfire for Christmas trees on the beach in front of the Carousel, and fireworks around 7:30 p.m.

Professional fireworks display every Thursday evening from June 24 – September 2 A fun event for the entire family. Approximately 9:45pm next to the Pier (sponsored by Palace Playland and The Pier). Also large display July 4th!

January 1 – 32st Annual Lobster Dip…
Maine’s original and largest ocean dip. Watch or join in as over 300 participants dip into the chilly waters as part of a fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics Maine. Registration starts at 9:00am and Dip at noon sharp. On the beach in front of the Brunswick Hotel. Sponsored by the Portland Rugby Club. 16th Annual Easter Egg Extravaganza… Great family fun for all ages featuring a parade, Easter egg hunt, photos with the OOB Bunny costumed character, animal balloons and other fun-filled games. At Loranger Middle School from 10:00am to 1:00pm. All free to the general public. Sponsored by Old Orchard Beach Recreation Department. FMI: 207-934-0860

A free, family-friendly variety show produced by The Salvation Army. Come for four nights of fun giveaways, balloon animals, face painting, magic and dancing. Sing-along, dance along, seize a bite at a local vendor and enjoy the show!
The program matures with the night, though every minute is family-oriented. Starting at 7pm, grab your kids to dance-along to today’s hit music. Then, sing-along with a live band to all your favorite kids songs like Baby Shark and Wheels on The Bus. Don’t miss some special appearances (and photo ops!) with your favorite princesses and heroes. As the sun sets, you’ll be amazed by a magician and thrilled by a team of dancers. Our M.C. might just pull you up on stage for some interactive games and comedy. An original movement piece will be performed by a team who toured in the Bahamas this summer! The nighttime will end with all your favorite 80’s rock-and-roll hits as a live band closes out the show.
